Memories of an Old Truck

Inspiration

This image always reminds me of my grandfather's old blue truck that always sat in the driveway at his house. Now, his truck was operational - we used it for trips to the store or bank when I was visiting. But it seemed old and rusty, and he would let us climb up in it and pretend to drive when we wanted an adventure. With this card, I was trying to capture the feeling of the old rusty blue truck looms large in my memory.

Instructions

IMAGE

Cut and emboss a vanilla rectangle, and stamp the car image in brown ink, centered in the rectangle. Using the distress ink pads and the water color brush, paint the image. It doesn't take much water - just touch your damp damp brush onto the ink pad. If you get too much water, just use a paper towel to absorb any extra.

ASSEMBLY

Cut and emboss a brown rectangle - one size larger than the vanilla image panel. Adhere the image panel to the brown rectangle and mount them in the center of the front of the card.
Stamp the sentiment in brown on the small piece of vanilla card stock. Thread a buckle onto a strip of brown raffia and mount this across the bottom of the card. Adnere the sentiment on top of the raffia.
